This is why we created Yoga Hike…
Yoga Hike at Twin Falls was my first outing, but it piqued my initial interest because of the additional hiking aspect. I have been wanting to visit many of the beautiful parks and falls in the area, but never got around to it.
What was unique about Yoga Hike was that it gave me a healthy excuse to venture into a new area, practice yoga in nature, and give me a mental reprieve from the hectic, daily hospital life. The breathing exercise before we started was great, the cardio workout from the hike was exciting, the fun facts along the trail were interesting, and the yoga itself was perfectly relaxing.
I’m normally a very energetic, fast-paced person, but I recognize the benefits of slowing down periodically to reflect and “reset” mind, body, and soul. In a nutshell, Yoga Hike was the perfect combination for me because it had both a relaxing component and an adventurous side. Plus, being able to splash around in the falls with friends was definitely an added bonus from the Twin Falls hike! Thanks again for putting the group together and hope things continue to go well!”
Yoga Hike was the perfect start to my weekend. I’m not much of a morning person, but I arrived there, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed before 7 am. There were about 15 people in total and I really enjoyed the small group feel where everyone was able to get to know each other.
Twin Falls is just gorgeous and it was the perfect spot to hike and do yoga. We made several stops to enjoy the scenery and things that Christopher pointed out until we arrived at a huge walnut tree. I was a little nervous since I’ve only been to a few yoga classes, but Christopher did a great job with teaching a group of varying skill levels.
On my previous yoga attempts, I felt a lot of strain on my wrists. However, this was not the case for Yoga Hike. I felt great throughout the entire class! Afterwards, I felt so relaxed, yet energized! I highly recommend Yoga Hike to everyone.”

A yoga hike with Christopher is completely different than any yoga (or hike) I’ve ever done. He is the perfect person for this unusual hybrid of activities because he doesn’t waste a lot of chatter talking about bird or plant species — he lets you experience the hike in silence if that is what you want.
The yoga is incredible — it makes you never want to go back to a yoga studio again! I believe that this is the way yoga should be experienced all the time. You’re listening to a babbling brook, you’ve got your feet grounded in the earth, and you’re surrounded by the sounds of nature that you would normally tune out.
A sun salutation on a big, warm, flat rock with the breeze on your face and the city completely out of sight/earshot, listening to the waterfall, breathing deeply…it’s amazing. It puts you in a great mood for the whole day! And Christopher’s solid, calm, reassuring presence makes it all the more enjoyable.”

I have participated in two yoga hikes and absolutely loved it! It’s a wonderful opportunity to get out in nature, explore some of austins picturesque scenery, meet wonderful like-minded people all while stopping along to become one with nature by doing some light yoga and mindful breathing.”

Yoga in a studio is great, yoga in nature is greater. Christopher leads groups on excellent hikes and blends in a yoga practice in inspiring environments. It feels natural and uniquely spiritual. From outward appearances Christopher is a rugged outdoorsman, but he is a gentle giant and an excellent yoga instructor.
On one recent hike, we followed the yoga session with a long dip in the Sculpture Falls of Barton Creek. It was absolutely beautiful. Christopher accommodates all levels making everyone feel comfortable. He provides an excellent experience unlike any yoga practice I have ever done before. I highly recommend joining in one of his outings.”
